  Church In The Wind is an ethnic oriented congregation of bible believing Christians.  Our target group consists primarily of those individuals who lead the biker type of lifestyle.  This group of individuals, as a whole, feel un-accepted and out of place in many conventional worship settings. Church In The Wind understands and incorporates their jargon, lifestyle and methods of relating to each other into our mannerisms of worship.  In doing so we also attract a lot of other people, not in the biker lifestyle, who feel uncomfortable in conventional worship services.  Bikers have a great tendency to spend their Sundays out ridding their motorcycles and attending different motorcycle events. Church In The Wind therefore holds services on an alternate day; we have chosen Friday evenings for the Longview area.  It would also be best if we were located in a highly visible storefront building in the downtown area.  The motorcycles parked outside will have the tendency to attract many other bikers.  (That's how they find the bars they frequent.) As I said before many of the people that we will attract would be uncomfortable in a normal church building.   I, personally, have been a member of outlaw type motorcycle clubs for the last 20 years.  I have been there and done that.  There are great numbers of people in the Longview area who are members of one sort of motorcycle club or another.  It is my intention, as a pastor, to minister to as many of these people as possible.  It is my experience that when an agent of satan comes to know the Lord, Jesus Christ, there exists an individual who is truly on fire for the gospel.  I have seen many changes that the Lord has brought about in the motorcycle world in the last 20 years. It is my privilege to announce that I am one of those changes.  It is my extreme desire to share that information with anyone who doesn't know Jesus Christ is Lord and Master yet.   I feel that, because of my experience as an outlaw, we have a great opportunity to reach many club members and bikers in general in the Longview area.  I believe that the Lord God has a mighty adventure in-store for us in the Longview area.  Where it will lead and exactly how big it will get I do not know, but am anxious to enjoy the labor and to find out.
